February 8, 2008. Most recently they were the managers of a stable in Virginia working with AQHA and
APHA horses, until the property owner decided to sell the facility they were leasing. They met at and are
both graduates of Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre located in Waverly, WV.; where
Robert received his Farrier Certificate and Hilary received her Riding Master Degree. She also is a
certified Equine Massage Therapist!
Below is some additional background on the Jenner's:
Robert’s aunt is one of the original instructors at Meredith Manor. At the young age of eight, he found
himself hanging around the farrier shop and “assisting” the instructor; there he found his calling in life.
After graduating high school, he worked at several stables and businesses and later enrolled at Meredith
Manor and has been a professional farrier for four years. He is schooled in corrective trimming, shoeing,
farrier science, hoof anatomy, training and barn care.
Hilary was born in Naperville, IL - and later moved to Virginia and has been riding horses since the age of
five. At age seven, she began to “help with training”. After High School and while working at a well
known racing barn, her efforts didn’t go unnoticed. She was later promoted to Broodmare and Foal
manager, where she attended all foalings and was charged with making all decisions about their care.
She handled foals from birth to two-years, teaching them basic manners. Eventually, she went on to
work with and handle young stallions. The education she received at Meredith Manor enables her to
teach the following Disciplines: Western, Dressage and Hunters. She is also knowledgeable on the
following Show Standards: English, Western, Dressage, Reining, Eventing and Drill.
With over 28 years of combined experience, Robert and Hilary's education and personal knowledge
extend over the following areas of practice: General Horse Care, Tacking, Training, Ranch Management,
Stable Maintenance and Elementary Health Care (treating wounds, administering injections and first aid).
Both have trained horses for show, trail and basic ranch work for personal use and resale. They have
been intimately involved with, cared for, and assisted pregnant mares and are schooled in handling
stallions. During the 2006 breeding season, Robert and Hilary assisted in the breeding of 20 mares for
one client and 17 for another. In 2007, they stood their own stallion for breeding.
Check back with us soon to see more exciting news and to review Hilary's collection of photographs,
cards and other speciality items!
Sincerely,
SBR Management
